Since last Saturday, April 19th, 2008, all our parish (280 inhabitants, 50 web consumers) is cut off from any web connexion.

This is due to a damaged phone line : neither the company owner of the line nor the operator want to repair it, both says it is the job of the other one.

I don’t know if there is any solution. For the moment, I’m forced to use the connexions of my nephrews or some cybercafes. It is not easy, so please excuse me if I don’t answer to all your kind comments and if I don’t upload some new pictures for an unspecified time.

I’m cut off from the word. I’m feeling horribly bad.



COUPEE DU MONDE

Depuis samedi 19 Avril 2008, toute notre commune (280 habitants, dont 50 abonnés à l’internet) ne dispose plus d’aucune connexion au web.

Cette situation est due à la vétusté des lignes télephoniques du central de Martel (dont nous dependons) et à une détérioration supplémentaire due à un engin d’élagage, que ni France Télécom ni Alsatis (notre opérateur obligatoire car le seul à avoir accepté de desservir notre commune, trop peu peuplées pour être rentable) n’acceptent de reparer, chacun se renvoyant la balle.

J’ignore pour le moment s’il y a ou aura une solution à notre problème. Pour le moment, je suis dependante des connexions de mes neveux ou des rares cybercafés existant dans la région. Ce n’est pas simple, donc excusez-moi si je ne me manifeste plus que rarement, pour une durée indéterminée.

Je me sens coupée du monde et, donc, assez mal.

Yesterday, on March 27th, at 11:29 AM, the most beautiful fair-haired fairy baby was born. He weighs 3,5 Kg for 50 cm and makes the pride and the glory of his happy parents. And grand-parents. I'm happy happy happy...

I'm still busy, working on my children book and working outside. It's why you wouldn't have new original pictures for the moment.

But you can see, now, the first pictures (already published on Elfwood) I did of a serial consecrated to the plants used by the witches for their potions. It was very fun and interresting to search the informations on the web and to illustrate them. Perhaps will I continue to complete this serial one day, in the purpose to do a book, I don't know.

Je suis toujours très occupée, entre mon travail habituel et le livre pour enfants que je suis en train de réaliser. C'est pourquoi vous ne verrez pas d'illustrations récentes ou originales pour l'instant.

Mais je viens de publier dans cette galerie les premiers dessins (déjà sur Elfwood) d'une série consacrée aux plantes utilisées par les sorcières pour leurs potions. C'était très amusant et instructif de réunir les infos sur le web. Je poursuivrai peut-être un jour cette série, en vue d'en faire un autre livre, qui sait ?

Sorry for this late journal: I had some problems with my connexion solved now (I hope so...)

I added some photos to my gallery 6 days ago, and Ill add a few more today. They are quite old: it is a long time I didn't have the time nor the desire to take photos anymore. But I still like them.

I'm currently working on a children book called: "Crazy Wizard Castle", inspired by the picture of the same name I did (you can see it on this gallery, "Humour and Fancy" file). So, I don't have any time to draw and paint something else for the moment, all my time being consecrated to the 12 illustrations (+ the cover) of my book (4 done). They'll no be published here, of course, I'll show them to some publishers, in a first time!

So, please be patient.

Désolée d'avoir tant tardé à mettre mon journal à jour: j'ai eu quelques problèmes de connexion à présent résolus (du moins, je l'espère...)

J'ai ajouté quelques photos à ma galerie il y a 6 jours, et je compte en rajouter quelques unes aujourd'hui. Elles ne sont pas très récentes: ça fait un moment que je n'ai plus eu ni le loisir ni le désir de prendre d'autres photos. Mais je les aime toujours.

Je suis en train de travailler sur un livre pour enfants intitulé: "Le Château Fou du Sorcier Fou", inspiré par la peinture "Crazy Wizard Castle" que j'ai réalisée il y a 2 ou 3 ans et qui figure dans ma galerie (dossier: "Humour and Fancy"). C'est pourquoi je n'ai plus le temps de peindre quoi que ce soit d'autre pour le moment, tout mon temps étant consacré à réaliser les 12 illustrations (+ la couverture) de mon histoire (dont 4 achevées). Je ne vous les présenterai pas ici, bien sûr: mon objectif étant d'essayer de faire publier mon livre!

I've upload today the pictures I did a few years ago on tiles with “thermo-hardering water based colors”. I already like the way they turned out, even if I studied the real great art of earthenware (hight fire) some times after this experiment.
